World leading manufacturer of LCD panels and CRT supplier Chunghwa Picture Tubes has plants in Taiwan, China and Malaysia. They require an efficient way to streamline voice and data communications across multiple locations in the region. Given the limitations of existing IPLC technologies, which are either too expensive or limited in their flexibility to meet changing business requirements, the company’s various sites and branches in China commenced a migration two years ago to the MPLS-based VPN service offered by DYXnet, which provides connectivity between sites across a shared public infrastructure in a much more secure and cost-effective manner. Consequently, these more efficient ways of working and communication have resulted in an 18% cut in connectivity expenses and a substantial increase in available bandwidth for Chunghwa Picture Tubes.

There were technical limitations associated with the deployment of IPLC. In the past the company had to purchase IPLCs and leased lines, and then added on top of them expensive additional lines for exposure protection and backup purposes. This involved a great deal of in-house management and maintenance both in terms of costs and efforts.
